Canada already has petitions. Now Canada needs petitions with power.
Many Canadians feel Ottawa does not listen between elections. They can write letters, sign ordinary petitions, protest, and complain, but if Ottawa refuses to listen, what then?

What is a Citizens Trigger?
If enough verified Canadians sign on to a major national issue, that issue should legally trigger a national referendum — a direct vote by Canadians.
This is not about left or right. It is not about one political party. This is about accountability between elections.
If the people say yes, Ottawa may proceed. If the people say no, Ottawa must stop. If enough Canadians sign, Ottawa must listen.
